The Compost Song
Humor aside, this song refers to some useful organic gardening techniques as does the song "Snail Pickin' Time"
Line 4 of the chorus - egg shells are source of calcium and can reduce acidity in your soil. Worm will decompose them faster than just normal composting. The 'leaves of grass' reference is to Walt Whitman's collection of poems by that name...also lawn clippings can go in the compost.
Line 5 of 2nd chorus - worms are the work horse (worm as horses?) of the compost pile.
In line 17 is it 'waste' or 'waist' --- it's up to you...however you want to hear it.

The Compost Song
Of your garden you will boast
If you will make the most
Of Mother Nature's cycle
Sweet compost
'cause if you would be quite pure
You gotta take just a little manure
Mix it all up
With some leaves of grass and egg shellsYour radish will be fadish
Your salad will be valid
If you will put some toil in yo ur soil
So if you do these deeds
Before you plant your seeds
Your garden's going to grow
Like you cast a magic spell
No need to feel disgraced
By your organic waste
Just put it in the garden and
It will be replaced
'cause if you would be quite pure
You gotta take just a little manure
Mix it all up
With some leaves of grass and egg shellsWhen the worms the worms they start to munchin'
The garbage will go crunchin'
They will put some toil in your soil
So if you do these deeds
Before you plant your seeds
Your garden's going to grow
Like you cast a magic spell
