Ramblin of His Mind
This song reflects on a brief snippet of conversation I had with the only person who was listening while I was playing in a local bar.
As with other songs here, this one has an extra half measure at the end of the first line of each stanza. At least I think it does. To some extent, it depends on how you count these things, if you count them at all.
For myself, I like to invoke the 'too much thinking interferes with the feeling' philosophy here.

Ramblin' of His Mind
He comes from down somewhere in Georgia
I listened to the ramblin' of his mind
Half the time when he'll be talkin'
There ain't the slightest thread that you can find
He's twice as old as me
He likes the way I sing
He gives me one more dollar
Guess he thinks that I might bring him back again
He had a pa but he just lost him
Laid the old man half way in the ground
Broken heart that's what is cost him
I guess there ain't no other way around
He's twice as old as me
He likes the way I sing
He gives me one more dollar
Guess he thinks that I might bring him back again
