Spend Your Time
This is an example of a song to myself.
I don't think lines 3 and 4 of the chorus (written in 1972) were a prediction of the disastrous state of the world economy as I write this little annotation in late 2008, but this song certainly has its poignancy.

Spend Your Time
We were often told about
The way to live our lives
In a world that did not really know
Quite how to turn around
But don't you worry worried baby
'cause you know there comes a time
When the dollar in your pocket
When it isn't worth a dime
And don't you worry 'bout tomorrow
Just spend your time
And we have often thought about
The darkness and the lies
In a world that any fool can see
Is surely just a joke
But don't you worry worried baby
'cause you know there comes a time
When the dollar in your pocket
When it isn't worth a dime
And don't you worry 'bout tomorrow
Just spend your time
